Bishkek, Jan. 16, 2019. /Kabar/. During the visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov to the Kingdom of Norway, a meeting was held with representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora living in Norway.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that during the meeting, Aidarbekov informed compatriots about the current development of Kyrgyzstan, the ongoing reforms in the country. He drew attention to the established Council for Relations with Compatriots under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. He stressed that the main goal of the Council is to strengthen cooperation and ensure effective cooperation between the state and compatriots on issues of support, protection of the rights and interests of compatriots abroad.
The Minister informed that one of the priorities of the work of overseas agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic, depending on the potential of the host country, will be, in particular, attracting investments, protecting the rights of citizens and promoting information about Kyrgyzstan and the advantages of tourism potential. He recalled that in the history of diplomatic relations, his visit to Norway is the first visit at the level of the head of the foreign ministry of Kyrgyzstan, to the Kingdom of Norway.
An exchange of views took place on various issues related to the activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the overseas agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic. Compatriots addressed their questions to the Minister, including online via the Internet, which were answered accordingly.
