Bishkek, Nov. 10, 2021 . / Kabar / . Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev held a meeting with Roberto Luongo, the General Manager of the Italian Trade Agency – ICE Agency.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that at the beginning of the meeting, Roberto Luongo informed about the activities of the Italian Trade Agency.
The sides had a constructive exchange of views on expanding the trade, economic and investment potential of the two countries, as well as possible areas of cooperation.
Ruslan Kazakbaev identified important areas of the Kyrgyz economy, in which the Kyrgyz side could implement joint projects with the Italian side, such as agriculture, hydropower, tourism, digitalization and mining sector.
The minister also informed about the mechanisms to protect foreign investors and the investment climate in the country. In this context, he expressed interest in attracting Italian companies to implement these projects in Kyrgyzstan.
The ICE Agency general manager expressed intention to establish cooperation with Kyrgyzstan and accepted the Kyrgyz side's offer to hold a country presentation and business forum in Kyrgyzstan with the participation of entrepreneurs from Italy.
Following the meeting, Kazakbaev invited Roberto Luongo to pay a visit Kyrgyzstan.
