Bishkek, May 21, 2024. / Kabar/. Within the framework of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the SCO member states, a bilateral meeting of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Ishaq Dar took place in Astana on May 20.
In the course of the meeting, Kulubaev once again congratulated Muhammad Ishaq Dar on his appointment as the head of the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan as a result of the February 8, 2024 general parliamentary elections in the IRP.
The sides discussed the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and IRP in trade, investment, textile industry, tourism, education, health care and other areas, paying special attention to the activation of economic diplomacy, cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries, as well as exchange of visits at the highest and high levels.
The sides noted the important role of the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Pakistani Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation and the interaction between the two countries on the sub-regional energy project "CASA-1000".
Following the results of the meeting, the parties agreed to direct efforts to increase the dynamics of mutual visits and strengthen interaction between the business circles of the two countries.
The parties decided to hold consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the IRP on political issues, as well as in consular and consular matters in the near future.
