Bishkek, Aug. 21, 2023. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev met with US Senator, Chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Gary Peters, the press service of the Foreign Ministry said.
The sides exchanged views on topical issues on the agenda and prospects for the development of bilateral relations. Particular attention was paid to issues of security, prevention of sanctions, as well as cooperation within the framework of the C5 + 1 mechanism.
At the meeting, the commitment to continue joint work to ensure regional stability and security in Central Asia was declared.
The Kyrgyz side thanked the American side for the assistance provided in the repatriation of Kyrgyz citizens from Syria, expressing hope for the continuation of relevant cooperation.
In conclusion, the parties reaffirmed their mutual intention to continue the dialogue on a wide range of bilateral cooperation.
