Bishkek, June 20, 2022. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev met in Riyadh with Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) Mishal bin Fahm Al-Sulami, the press service of the Kyrgyz MFA said.
During the meeting, the sides discussed in detail the current issues of Kyrgyz-Saudi relations and the prospects for development of inter-parliamentary cooperation, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the political dialogue at high and the highest levels.
Jeenbek Kulubaev and Mishal bin Fahm Al-Sulami noted the results of the recent visit of the KSA parliamentary delegation to Kyrgyzstan, which included substantive talks with high-ranking officials of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The parties agreed to provide necessary assistance in organizing reciprocal visits, to continue close cooperation within international organizations and to focus efforts on increasing trade turnover between the two countries, the soon opening of direct regular flights, development of the tourism sector and facilitation of entry into the KSA for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic by issuing electronic tourist visas.
Kulubaev drew his interlocutor's attention to the need to intensify cooperation on the implementation of the existing great potential of cooperation between the two countries.
They also discussed international agenda issues, including regional security and the current situation in Ukraine, Afghanistan and Yemen.
