Kyrgyz FM receives copies of credentials from ambassador of Mongolia

Bishkek, Oct. 28, 2021 / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Investments of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev received copies of credentials from Ambassador of Mongolia to the Kyrgyz Republic Ganhuyag Sodnom.

The press service of the Foreign Ministry said that Minister Kazakbaev congratulated Ambassador Ganhuyag Sodnom on his appointment as the first Ambassador of Mongolia to Kyrgyzstan and wished him success in his honorable mission.

During the conversation, Kazakbaev expressed gratitude to the Mongolian side for the decision to transform the Consulate General into the Embassy of Mongolia in the Kyrgyz Republic, and also informed about the opening of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Mongolia in the near future.

The sides discussed the current state of Kyrgyz-Mongolian relations, and also exchanged views on the prospects for bilateral cooperation, in particular focusing on the development of trade and economic cooperation and the importance of opening direct flights between the capitals.

In addition, on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, Kazakbaev was invited to celebrate the event by joint efforts: to organize bilateral visits at the highest and high levels, at the level of foreign affairs agencies, to hold a number of cultural events.

In turn, the Ambassador of Mongolia Sodnom thanked the minister and conveyed warm greetings on behalf of the leadership of the Mongolian Foreign Ministry. Sodnom emphasized that at present, the legal framework has been fully formed between the Kyrgyz Republic and Mongolia in almost all areas of cooperation. The Mongolian ambassador assured that it will make every effort to intensify bilateral relations and achieve tangible results, including in the areas of trade, economy, agriculture, tourism, culture and science. In addition, the Mongolian side expressed hope for the early opening of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ulan Bator, Mongolia.

The talks were held in a friendly atmosphere and in the spirit of complete mutual understanding on all the issues discussed.
