Bishkek, May 15, 2021. / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev received the newly appointed Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Kyrgyz Republic Rapil Zhoshybaev.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said that the main purpose of the meeting was the presentation by Ambassador Zhoshybaev of copies of the credentials and discussion of the prospects for Kyrgyz-Kazakh cooperation.
Kazakbaev congratulated Zhoshybaev on the beginning of the diplomatic mission in the Kyrgyz Republic and wished him success and further fruitful work. The Kazakh ambassador expressed gratitude for the meeting and the opportunity to present, in accordance with international protocol procedures, copies of the credentials of his appointment to the post.
The Kyrgyz minister informed the Kazakh side of the tragic events that took place at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, the details of the agreements reached at the highest and high levels between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
Zhoshybaev expressed his deepest condolences to the people of Kyrgyzstan in connection with the events that occurred at the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border on April 28-29, 2021, resulting in human casualties. He conveyed words of sympathy and support from the leadership of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Also during the meeting, the sides discussed issues of the current agenda of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh strategic partnership and allied relations, outlined priority areas of interaction for the near, medium and long term.
Particular attention was paid to the preparation of the upcoming visit of Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi to Kyrgyzstan.
At the end of the talks, the sides expressed confidence in further strengthening close cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan in all areas of mutual interest.
