Kyrgyz FM receives copies of credentials from newly appointed ambassador of UAE

Bishkek, March 15, 2022. / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev received copies of credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Kyrgyz Republic (with residence in Nur-Sultan) Dr. Mohammad Said Mohammad Al-Ariki, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.

During the meeting, held on March 14, the sides discussed an extensive list of issues on the current and future agenda of bilateral Kyrgyz-Emirati cooperation.

Confirming mutual interest in expanding bilateral relations, the sides reviewed the progress in practical development and implementation of the agreements reached during Kazakbaev’s recent official visit to the United Arab Emirates on March 1-3, 2022, in particular, strengthening political dialogue, intensifying interaction between the business circles of the two countries, increasing mutual trade turnover, attracting investments in the economy of Kyrgyzstan, qualitatively strengthening the bilateral legal framework and other priority issues of bilateral cooperation in the near future.

The sides also discussed plans for the exchange of mutual visits at the highest and high levels, holding upcoming political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries and the next meeting of the joint Kyrgyz-Emirati Intergovernmental Commission (IGC).

Kazakbaev welcomed the intention of the UAE government to open the UAE embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic and expressed his readiness of the Ministry to provide maximum assistance in this matter.

For his part, Ambassador Mohammad Al-Ariki expressed his readiness to make every effort for the comprehensive development of bilateral Kyrgyz-Emirati cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to make consistent joint efforts to implement the vectors of bilateral cooperation touched upon during the meeting, and also agreed to maintain close working contacts for this purpose.
