Kyrgyz Foreign Minister and Georgian Ambassador discuss bilateral cooperation

Bishkek, Feb. 24, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov received Ambassador of Georgia to Kyrgyzstan with a residence in the city of Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan) Zurab Abashidze.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said that the sides discussed the current state and prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation.

An agreement was reached on enhancing trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The sides discussed issues of holding joint activities planned for 2020, including the organization of the official visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia David Zalkaliani to Kyrgyzstan.

The sides also noted that tourism is a promising area of ​​mutual cooperation. The Kyrgyz side expressed interest in gaining Georgia’s experience in this area, as well as in attracting Georgian tourism companies to the Kyrgyz market.

As a result of the meeting, an exchange of views took place on pressing issues of the international and regional agenda, and also confirmed the mutual disposition to further develop multifaceted bilateral cooperation.
