Bishkek, Aug.27, 2019. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aidarbekov yesterday, Aug. 26 received Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan Hidayat Orujov.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan were discussed.
The sides paid special attention to the upcoming 7th Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking Countries, which will be held in October this year in Azerbaijan, as well as a high-level bilateral visit.
An exchange of views took place on the organizational and substantive aspects of the above events.
The parties confirmed their mutual aspiration to develop and strengthen economic, cultural and humanitarian relations. In this context, details of the meeting of the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission, as well as construction of a general education school and park named after Heydar Aliyev in Kyrgyzstan were discussed.
The Turkic Council or in full the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (CCTS) is an international organization comprising some of the Turkic countries.
The General Secretariat is in Istanbul, Turkey. The member countries are Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkey.
Currently, the CCTS is chaired by the Kyrgyz Republic.
