Kyrgyz Foreign Minister meets in New York with Russian FM

Bishkek, Jan. 19, 2018. / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan met in New York with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, the meeting took place on Jan. 18 as part of participation in the events in the UN Security Council.

The sides considered current issues of Kyrgyz-Russian relations, as well as touched upon cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations.

The foreign ministers of the two countries discussed the schedule of mutual contacts at the highest levels.

Abdyldaev and Lavrov stressed the need to intensify the work of the Kyrgyz-Russian Intergovernmental Commission for the medium term and discussed the timing of the next 20th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission.
