Bishkek, Apr. 28, 2020. /Kabar/. On Apr. 28, Kyrgyzstan's Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov held phone talk with State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany Norbert Barthle.
During the conversation the sides discussed the measures taken in both countries to combat the COVID-19 virus, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.
FM Aidarbekov expressed his gratitude for the German Government's decision to allocate aid to Kyrgyzstan in the amount of €500 thousand in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic.
The two countries successfully cooperate with the support of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) to prevent coronavirus in Kyrgyzstan.
The parties discussed possible ways to swap the state debt of the Kyrgyz Republic to Germany, as well as to support the health and economic sectors amid coronavirus.
The importance of continuing close cooperation within the framework of financial and technical cooperation was noted.
