Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry expresses condolences over victims of earthquake in Afghanistan

Bishkek, Oct. 9, 2023. / Kabar /. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed condolences over the victims of the earthquake in Afghanistan.

“It is with deep sympathy and sorrow that Kyrgyzstan received the news of the devastating earthquake in western Afghanistan, which resulted in serious casualties.

At this difficult time, the Kyrgyz side is with the Afghan people,” the message says.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses deep condolences to the families of the victims and sincerely wishes a speedy recovery to those affected by the natural disaster.

A 6.4 magnitude earthquake was recorded in western Afghanistan. As of yesterday, the death toll was 2 thousand 53 people, 9 thousand 240 were injured, 1 thousand 329 houses were damaged or destroyed.
