Kyrgyz-French tourism road show held in Paris

Bishkek, Nov. 16, 2024. /Kabar/. A Kyrgyz-French tourism road show was held in Paris on November 14, 2019, with the participation of Director of the Tourism Department of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Maksat Usubaliev, President of the Kyrgyz Tour Operators Association Saltanat Midin, tour operators and the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in France.

A similar road show was held in Madrid on November 11, 2019.

In his welcoming speech, the director of the Tourism Department emphasized the efforts of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic to promote the unique tourism opportunities of the country, noted the rich cultural heritage and picturesque landscapes of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as a variety of offers for active and cultural tourism.

President of the Association of Tour Operators of Kyrgyzstan (KATO) Midin drew the attention of French tour operators to large-scale prospects for cooperation.

The aim of the events was to strengthen cooperation between Kyrgyzstan, France and Spain in the field of tourism. The roadshow brought together leading French and Spanish tour operators (Catai, Trekking y Aventura, Arawak – Bidon 5, Ambar, Paso Noroeste, Europamundo, Pangea, Tourmundial, TUI, Destinos del Mundo, Explora Acción, Mapatours, Les Maison du Voyages, Arts et Vie, Destination Monde), as well as representatives of the Kyrgyz tourism industry. The events were held with the support of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in France in the offices of Turkish Airlines in Madrid and Paris. French and Spanish travel agencies expressed interest in Kyrgyzstan's proposals for cooperation.
