Bishkek, June 17, 2021. / Kabar /. Members of the Legprom Association took part in the "Global Textile Days Spring 2021" Week of the textile industry in the city of Tashkent.
The organizers of the exhibition were the Uztekstilprom Association and the Iteca Exhibitions exhibition company.
The week was devoted to the trends of the global textile industry. The organizers were able to provide a wide range of exchange of views with all participants of the exhibition. Exclusive trainings, presentations, discussions on the industry development strategy, B2B and B2C meetings were held.
Another highlight of the program within the framework of the week of the textile industry was the 3rd International Exhibition of Textile and Fashion Industry "UzTextile Expo Spring 2021". The participants were given three days of intense business meetings dedicated to the know-how of the industry, as well as the conclusion of a solid package of long-term contracts for the supply of products.
In addition to meaningful dialogue meetings, the organizers were able to show the participants advanced factories, textile enterprises and laboratories that set world-class standards.
Nurzhan Kunasova, a participant of the “Global Textile Days Spring” week, head of one of the sewing enterprises, said that the meeting of leading seamstresses in Tashkent was very relevant for seamstresses from different countries.
Kunasova added that the textile industry managed to find important partners during the week.
“The Uzbek partners offer very interesting products. Before the industrial boom, they were cotton exporters themselves, but now they themselves lack raw materials. They are successfully developing processing. In terms of tailoring, the assortment is more focused on home and sportswear. We sew fashionable clothes in Kyrgyzstan. So the exchange of experience was very fruitful for both sides. In addition, the Uzbek side expressed interest in creating common factories in Andijan region. In general, there was a lot of both supply and demand. We are currently working on the proposals we need,” she said.
Describing the exhibition of the textile industry, Nurzhan Kunasova said that the organizers demonstrated the entire process of making fabric and processing cotton up to the final product for the guests of the event.
In turn, President of the Legprom Association Saparbek Asanov noted the positive dynamics of cooperation between the representatives of the garment industry of the two countries.
“A memorandum of cooperation with the Uzbek side was signed a long time ago and since then we have regularly held various meetings at different platforms and levels. First of all, we have a mutual desire and desire to increase cooperation. The Global Textile Week in Tashkent at the end of May this year was very fruitful for the garment workers of our countries. The results of the trip are successful contracts and a list of mutually beneficial agreements. Uzbekistan is developing well the textile industry. We are successfully developing the sewing industry and are constantly in need of good materials. In this regard, at the level of negotiations, there are ideas for creating joint ventures for the production of textiles. In general, today there are a number of interesting ideas that we will work on,” Asanov concluded.
Another platform for the exchange of experience and the synchronization of watches was the international textile conference, where world experts, business owners and retailers discussed the latest trends and forecasts for the development of the textile industry. They also shared their experience during the coronavirus pandemic.
