Bishkek, May 27, 2024. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan and Georgia Kairat Osmonaliev held a number of meetings in Tbilisi, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
On May 22, he met with Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Gennady Arveladze, where the issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation were discussed. The sides focused on plans to renew the intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Georgian commission on trade and economic cooperation. The prospects for holding business forums between Kyrgyzstan and Georgia were also touched upon.
On the same day, the ambassador held talks with President of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Giorgi Pertaia. During the meeting, issues related to the development of trade and economic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Georgia were discussed. The interlocutors agreed to intensify work through the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries. The need to hold a bilateral business forum was identified as a priority measure. The parties expressed their intentions to promote the establishment and expansion of contacts between Kyrgyz and Georgian business circles.
On May 23, Osmonaliev held a meeting with Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Alexandre Darakhvelidze. The sides discussed the issues related to the entry and stay of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in Georgia, including planned changes to the procedure for foreign citizens visiting Georgia. It was noted that citizens of Kyrgyzstan, as a rule, do not violate local laws, and they are treated friendly in Georgia. During the meeting, issues of expanding the bilateral legal framework in the field of migration were also discussed.
