Bishkek, March 18, 2020. / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz government and local authorities in 7 oblasts of the country switched to a round-the-clock mode of operation in connection with the first 3 cases of coronavirus infection.
Under the leadership of First Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubatbek Boronov, an expanded selector meeting of the republican headquarters on coronavirus infection was held with the participation of governors of oblasts and heads of regional administrations, the press service of the Government reported.
Kubatbek Boronov emphasized that it is necessary to switch to an enhanced mode of work in order to prevent the spread of the infection, ensure proper control of public order and conduct high-quality wide outreach to the local population.
He noted that in Suzak region of Jalal-Abad Oblast an emergency mode has been introduced.
“The situation to prevent the penetration and further spread of coronavirus infection is under special control of the head of state and the government. The population has no reason to panic.
Based on the results of the meeting, local authorities were instructed to ensure that all recommendations and requirements of the government and the Ministry of Health were implemented in accordance with the time limits imposed on cultural, sports, scientific, family, and commemorative events until the epidemiological situation regarding coronavirus infection improved. The restrictions also apply to the activities of children's entertainment facilities, playgrounds, catering points located in shopping and entertainment centers; the activities of cinemas, theaters, museums, exhibition halls and galleries, cultural and educational institutions and other institutions; the activities of catering outlets with more than 50 seats; the activities of sports centers, sports sections, public baths, saunas, pools; activities of online clubs, as well as computer gaming establishments. It was also instructed to strengthen outreach to the local population.
