"Within the framework of the Concept of the Regional Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2017-2020 it is planned to solve the issues of development of the border, high-mountainous and remote areas," Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Zheenbekov said at a meeting of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on March 24 during the discussion of the draft Concept, the press service of the government reported.
The head of government said that in order to solve the problems of development of the regions that hinder the development of the country as a whole, the government has revised existing approaches.
Sooronbai Zheenbekov emphasized that it is possible to achieve socially significant results only if there are clearly defined goals and objectives, specific terms, identifying specific responsible persons and sources of funding.
"We must improve the quality of life in the regions, improve the welfare of our citizens. In this regard, it is necessary to carefully prepare for the implementation of the Concept, to develop a pragmatic implementation plan for the purpose of ensuring socio-economic development of the regions of the republic," the prime minister said.
