Bishkek, July 7, 2021 . / Kabar / . Deputy Chairwoman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Zhyldyz Bakashova held a meeting on Wednesday to discuss the provision of humanitarian assistance to the ethnic Kyrgyz of the Great and Little Afghan Pamirs.
The meeting discussed the socio-economic situation of the ethnic Kyrgyz of the Afghan Pamir and organizational and technical issues of delivering humanitarian aid to them, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
As a result of the meeting, a number of instructions were given to relevant stat bodies to organize a humanitarian expedition to the Great and Little Afghan Pamirs in autumn 2021.
The organization of the annual humanitarian expedition to the Afghan Pamirs includes not only activities to provide food aid and delivery of basic necessities, but also mandatory programs for medical examination of Pamir residents, delivery of medicines, medical consultations, research of their economic activities and determining the number of ethnic Kyrgyz.
