Bishkek, June 25, 2020. /Kabar/. Members of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies who performed tasks under a state of emergency will be paid compensation. The corresponding decision was signed by Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov, the Government’s press service reported.
This decision was taken in order to implement paragraph 7 of the Regulations on Additional Guarantees and Compensations to the military personnel who perform tasks under the state of emergency and armed conflicts in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic and beyond on the basis of international treaty obligations, approved by the government decree in connection with the introduction of a state of emergency in some areas of Kyrgyzstan earlier.
On March 25, due to poor epidemiological situation because of COVID-19, a state of emergency was imposed in the cities of Bishkek, Osh, Dzhalal-Abad, Nookat and Kara-Suu regions of Osh Oblast and Suzak region of Dzhalal-Abad Oblast, and later was extended till Apr.15, 2020.
On May 10 this year it was lifted by Presidential Decree of Sooronbay Jeenbekov.
