Bishkek, March 29 / Kabar /. A competition "Yo-ho, grandmothers” will be held in Bishkek on March 30, where grandmothers from four regions of the republic will participate, organizers of the event told Kabar Agency.
During the contest, five teams of grandmothers from Bishkek, Chui, Issyk-Kul, Jalal-Abad and Batken oblasts will demonstrate their talents. Each team has to show its creativity and rich life experience through dance and singing.
The contest participants will compete in resourcefulness, wit, and the ability to show the modern and national style of clothing of the peoples of the world.
The purpose of this event is to enhance the positive image of the older generation, the demonstration of the creative potential of the elder people.
As a result of the competition, participants will be awarded valuable prizes and diplomas. The event is held within the framework of the project "Worthy Aging in Kyrgyzstan" with the financial support of DCA Central Asia.
The organizers are the partner organizations of this project - HelpAge International, Grandma Adoption, Arysh, Resource Center for the Elderly, Rural Advisory Service of Jalal-Abad.
