Bishkek, Sept. 11, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan’s health authorities continue paying compensation to medical workers infected at work and families of those killed from the novel coronavirus infection.
Ainura Akmatova, head of the Public Health Department of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan told at a briefing that as of Sept. 11, 144 medical workers received at KGS 200 thousand each and 21 families of the deceased medical workers received at KGS 1 million each.
According to the Decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, health workers who have contracted COVID-19 while on duty and families of health workers who died as a result of the coronavirus infection have a right for one-time compensation.
In total, 3,163 medical workers have been contracted COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan since the pandemic, 2,657of them have recovered and 83 have died.
