Kyrgyz health minister and ambassador of Pakistan discuss cooperation in healthcare

Bishkek, Jan. 9, 2024. /Kabar/. Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Alymkadyr Beishenaliev met in Bishkek withAmbassador of Pakistan Hassan Ali Zaigam.

The Health Ministry reported that at the meeting the sides discussed issues that will be discussed at the Global Health Security Summit, where the minister of health of the Kyrgyz Republic will take part.

The Summit, scheduled for January 10-11 in Islamabad, will discuss global efforts to build strong and resilient public health systems that can respond to and prevent infectious disease threats.

In addition, interactions between higher educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan and the possibility of implementing a program for the exchange of students at medical universities were discussed. As well as cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals, in particular, the possibility of creating joint ventures in Kyrgyzstan.

Following the meeting, it was announced that in order to further develop the issues raised, bilateral meetings with relevant parties would be held on the sidelines of the Global Summit.
