Kyrgyz health minister on results of meeting with Arab investors

Bishkek, Aug. 4, 2022. /Kabar/. Acting Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Zharkynbek Kasymbekov spoke about the results of the meeting with Arab investors in the framework of the Fourth Meeting of the Arab Coordination Group, held in Cholpon-Ata town, Issyk-Kul Oblast.

He noted that during the talks, an investment project on modernization of the Kyrgyz health care system was presented.

"Thus, the project envisages investment of USD 25 million by Arab investors, including USD 20 million for construction and USD 5 million for purchasing of medical equipment. If the project is implemented successfully, by 2026 we will be able to perform about 70% of scheduled and emergency operations and put the country's district hospitals in order," the acting minister added.
