Bishkek, Jan. 11, 2024. /Kabar/. Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Alymkadyr Beishenaliev is taking part in the Global Health Security Summit on January 10-11, 2024. The summit takes place in Islamabad, Pakistan.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, the event is also attended by ministers of health from a number of countries. The ministers addressed the Summit participants on the topic of creating strong and sustainable public health systems.
In his speech, Alymkadyr Beishenaliev noted the importance of this event, emphasizing that this is a unique opportunity to develop dialogue and new partnerships in areas related to healthcare security and system sustainability.
“With constant challenges and changes in the world of healthcare, we need to join forces and develop strategies to ensure the safety of our citizens. We face threats that know no borders, and our task is to create a united front in the fight against them. The pandemic has highlighted the importance of global collaboration and innovation in the medical field. We must support research, ensure access to effective medicines and vaccines, and develop action plans to prevent future threats. Health security is not only a matter of controlling infectious diseases, but also of ensuring that quality health care is accessible to all. We must focus on strengthening our national health systems, training the health workforce and providing the necessary infrastructure. Together we can create a sustainable healthcare system that can effectively respond to challenges and ensure the safety of every person on the planet,” said Alymkadyr Beishenaliev.
Following the two-day discussions, it is planned that a future global charter for health security will be signed.
