Bishkek, Jan.24, 2020 /Kabar/. The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan hosted the meeting of Health Minister Kosmosbek Cholponbayev and Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen.
During the meeting, Ambassador Dewen briefed the minister on the situation with the epidemic associated with the new type of coronavirus.
She stressed the Chinese Government pays special attention to the emergence of the epidemic, has established a working mechanism for joint prevention and control with the engagement of more than 30 state bodies in China, and provides comprehensive medical care to those infected.
China has introduced a system of daily reports and zero admissions for suspicious citizens throughout the country, and is working intensively to research the epidemic. Chinese special forces and specialists from the World Health Organization have already held meetings.
Ambassador Du Dewen noted China and Kyrgyzstan are friendly neighbors. The Chinese side highly appreciates the preventive measures taken by Kyrgyzstan and is ready to maintain close contacts and cooperation with the Kyrgyz side to counter the epidemic.
Health Minister Cholponbayev thanked Du Dewen for timely and authoritative information, and expressed readiness of the Kyrgyz side to maintain close contacts with the Chinese side in combating the epidemic.
The sides also discussed specific issues on cooperation.
