Bishkek, Aug. 25, 2020. /Kabar/. The epidemiological situation in Kyrgyzstan is at a good level, but has not yet fully stabilized, Deputy Health Minister of the republic Mademin Karatayev told a daily news briefing Tuesday.
He noted that in world practice, the situation considered as a good if COVID-19 positive test remains below 5% for at least two weeks.
"The last two weeks the results of tests were at the level of 4.8%, which indicates an improvement in dynamics," the deputy minister said.
At the same time, Karatayev stressed even though no fatalities have been registered over the past 24 hours, there are many patients in severe condition who continue to arrive in hospitals.
He pointed out that there are a lot of cases when people are self-medicating and go to hospitals already in a serious condition.
