Bishkek, Aug. 13, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, Aug. 13 at a news briefing at the Government House, Deputy Health Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mademin Karatayev said if a person has been infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus infection, recontamination cannot be ruled out.
"Now many people think that if they have recovered from coronavirus, they have developed antibodies and now they will not catch it again. It’s not right. The risk of re-infection is also high. That's why I urge everyone to protect themselves and wear masks, to carry out all the anti-epidemiological measures and to keep a distance," Karatayev said.
A total of 41,699 cases (17,786 COVID-19 cases and 23,283 are cases of community - acquired pneumonia) have been registered in the country. Of these, 33,318 patients have recovered and 1,487 have died.
