Bishkek, Nov. 28, 2024. /Kabar/. It is expected that Kyrgyz honey will be included in the EU register in early 2025. This was discussed during a meeting between Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev and Ambassador of Hungary to the Kyrgyz Republic Dorogi Sandor.
The Ministry of Agriculture reported that the meeting was also attended by representatives of Hungarian companies in the field of agriculture, in particular Agrofeed Rus LtD, Babolna Tetra Ltd, Woodstock KFT, Fulmer Apiary, etc.
During the meeting, issues related to the export of Kyrgyz honey to the European Union, as well as the introduction of a system for monitoring residues of substances in honey, were discussed. The prepared monitoring plan has already been sent to the Directorate General for Health and Food Safety of the European Commission, and it is expected that Kyrgyz honey will be included in the EU register in early 2025. In addition, issues of importing breeding animals from Europe to Kyrgyzstan were discussed in order to develop breeding livestock in Kyrgyzstan. Agreements were reached on further cooperation with Hungarian companies. The meeting was held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere.
