With the acquisition of independence by Kyrgyzstan, the development of a new policy of the Hungarian government, which is called Openness to the East", in the last 10-12 years Hungary began to actively develop relations with the countries of the Asian region, including the countries of Central Asia. This dynamic has received a particularly strong acceleration in the last three to four years.
"Our relations are developing at the level of strategic partnership.
In recent years, there has been a high dynamic of relations between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary at the level of heads of state and other leaders. As an example, our president visited Hungary twice, which is unique for the European direction. At the beginning of the year, the speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh also paid an official visit to Hungary. Today, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto arrived in Kyrgyzstan. I would like to say that this has become a kind of tradition, especially at the level of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. These are the two most important bodies that act as the main engine or dynamics of the development of our bilateral relations, of course, with the support of the heads of our states," he said.
