Kyrgyz-Indian exercises Kanzhar-2019 start in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, March 12, 2019. / Kabar /. On the basis of the Panther Special Forces Brigade of the National Guard of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic, a meeting was held to mark the opening of the joint Kyrgyz-Indian exercise Kanzhar-2019 of the special units of the National Guard of the Kyrgyz Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of the Republic of India, the press service of the National Guard of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The opening ceremony was attended by Commander of the National Guard under the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic Talant Ergeshov and Counselor / Head of Administration of the Embassy of India in Kyrgyzstan Krishan K. Pachel.

During the week from March 13 to March 19, according to the plan, Kyrgyz and Indian military personnel will jointly work out the issues of conducting a special operation to identify, localize and destroy illegal armed groups in mountainous conditions. Planned activities will be held at the Kyrgyz-Indian center for mountain training at the Edelweiss training ground in Balykchy.

As part of the cultural program, guests will get acquainted with the culture and history of Kyrgyzstan and the Issyk-Kul region, will visit the memorial complex “Ruh Ordo”.

Note that the joint Kyrgyz-Indian Kanzhar exercise is held on a regular basis once a year in the territory of both countries.
