Kyrgyz interior minister familiarizes with material and technical equipment of Turkish Gendarmerie

Bishkek, April 21, 2022. / Kabar /. Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ulan Niyazbekov visited the General Command of the Turkish Gendarmerie, where he familiarized with the material and technical equipment of the Turkish police.

The Kyrgyz delegation was shown the weapons on the balance of the police, the press service of the Kyrgyz Interior Ministry said Thursday.

In addition to the main type of special police equipment, the delegation was shown unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) Bairaktar, a Turkish medium-altitude attack UAV with an internal combustion engine and a pusher-type propeller, and helicopters used by the Airborne Police Force in ensuring public order.

In addition, representatives of the Interior Ministry got acquainted with the activities of the Criminalistics Laboratory of the Directorate of Criminal Department of the General Command of the Gendarmerie.

The sides discussed issues of cooperation in the exchange of experience, as well as the training of employees of the Interior Ministry of Kyrgyzstan at the Police Academy of Turkey.

Minister Niyazbekov visited the monument to Manas erected in the main square of Kecioren municipality of Ankara, where he met with Mayor Turgut Altynok.

Further, the Kyrgyz interior minister visited the Turkish International Academy against Drugs and Organized Crime (TADOC), which is one of the best research centers in the world.

Earlier, the Kyrgyz and Turkish interior ministers discussed opening a Turkish police training center similar to TADOC, which helps effectively combat the spread of narcotics and organized crime, as well as all types of smuggling.
