Bishkek, April 19, 2022 . / Kabar /. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan offered its colleagues from Turkey to open a Turkish training center in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ulan Niyazbekov held a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Sulaiman Soylu as part of his working visit to Turkey, the press service of the Interior Ministry reported.
Niyazbekov noted that during the last meeting held in 2021 it was possible to establish bilateral cooperation between the ministries of the two countries.
During the meeting, the Kyrgyz minister got acquainted with the innovations of the Turkish police in the field of public security and digitalization.
He visited a special laboratory for preventing and combating crime, which uses biometric technology.
Earlier, during a meeting with Turkish Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Ahmet Sadik Dogan in Bishkek, a proposal was made to create a Turkish police training center in Kyrgyzstan with the support of Turkey, similar to TADOC, to help effectively combat the spread of drugs and organized crime, as well as all types of smuggling.
"The opening of such a center will allow law enforcement agencies of near and far abroad countries to work together to exchange information, new approaches to detect early signs of international crimes, as well as to prevent them," the report said.
For his part, Soylu noted the importance of interaction between the ministries in the fight against crime and expressed readiness to further strengthen cooperation.
