Bishkek, Nov. 24, 2020. /Kabar/. Ambassador of China to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen paid a visit of courtesy to Kyrgyzstan’s Internal Minister Ulan Niyazbekov. She was accompanied by a representative of the Ministry of Public Security of China at the Chinese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan Cai Zhisyun and Attache of the Chinese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan Zhou Tingshen.
The interior minister warmly welcomed the ambassador.
"I am very pleased to welcome you within the walls of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As is known, 2019 was remembered for our joint effective and fruitful work, solving difficult tasks and worthy implementation of plans. The outgoing year 2020 has made its adjustments in our relations. During this time, we have all gained new professional and life experience," he said.
In her turn, Ambassador Du Dewen congratulated Minister Niyazbekov on his appointment to a high position and wished him success, as well as conveyed congratulations on behalf of China’s minister of public security.
The Chinese ambassador gave a positive assessment of the trend of dynamic development of Chinese-Kyrgyz relations in recent years and expressed gratitude for the active work done by the Internal Ministry to promote friendly cooperation between the relevant authorities of the two countries.
The sides discussed joint work in the fight against terrorism and extremism, drug trafficking, transnational crime. They considered the issues of further strengthening of the Kyrgyz-Chinese relations, both sides highly appreciated the current level of bilateral law enforcement cooperation and expressed their intention for its further development.
The meeting confirmed agreement on approaches to fighting crime.
