Kyrgyz Internal Ministry to continue to co-op with UNDP in fight against crime

Bishkek, Oct.18, 2024. /Kabar/. Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Suyunbek Niyazbekov met with UNDP Resident Representative in Kyrgyzstan Alexandra Solovieva.

The press service of the Internal Ministry reported that the sides discussed cooperation issues, with the main focus on cooperation in the digitalization of the internal affairs bodies’ activities in 2025.

Niyazbekov noted that the ministry is carrying out a large-scale work on digitalization of the activities of the country's internal affairs bodies, thereby improving efficiency in the fight against crime, prevention of delinquency and gender-based violence, quality of service and service to the population.

“It should be noted that the Internal Ministry highly values cooperation with the United Nations Development Program in the Kyrgyz Republic and for many years UNDP has been our reliable and constant partner. To date, prevention of offenses, combating crime, improving the quality of service and service to the population with the help of modern IT-technologies and software in the light of digitalization are urgent for us,” Suyunbek Niyazbekov concluded.
