Kyrgyz-Iranian political consultations held in Tehran

Bishkek, May 6, 2019. / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz-Iranian political consultations were held in Tehran at the level of Deputy Foreign Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Islamic Republic of Iran on May 4, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The Kyrgyz delegation was headed by First Deputy Foreign Minister Nuran Niyazaliyev, while the Iranian was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. In the course of the ministerial consultations, the sides discussed a wide range of issues, including the current state and prospects of expanding cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Iran in bilateral and multilateral formats, as well as issues on the international agenda and regional security. The sides stressed the need to develop bilateral cooperation, strengthen inter-parliamentary relations, as well as the need for ongoing contacts at various levels between the two countries.

The heads of delegations expressed hope for further intensification of the entire range of bilateral relations, as well as an increase in trade, economic and investment cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
