Bishkek, May 14, 2024. /Kabar/. Regular Kyrgyz-Italian inter-Ministerial consultations took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz side was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Aibek Moldogaziev, and the Italian side was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, deputy of the lower house of the Italian parliament Edmondo Chirielli.
During the political consultations, current issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed, in particular, the expansion of political dialogue through the organization of high-level visits, the development of trade, economic and cultural cooperation, as well as cooperation within the UN and the EU.
Particular attention was paid to the economic and investment potential of Kyrgyzstan in the fields of energy, tourism and light industry. Issues of promising transport and logistics routes across Central Asia, connecting East and West, were also considered.
In addition, the parties discussed regional cooperation, the consular sphere and the expansion of the legal framework.
The final point of the conversation was the exchange of views on current issues on the international agenda.
