Bishkek, April 7, 2021 . / Kabar / . Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Justice Asel Chynbayeva held a meeting with Louise Chamberlain, UNDP Resident Representative in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The press service of the Justice Ministry said that Minister Chynbayeva thanked Louise Chamberlain for cooperation in the development of the judiciary, as well as for the support of measures to provide free legal aid to the population within the Bus of Solidarity project.
The UNDP representative informed about the activities of the UN organization, in particular on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
During the meeting, the sides also discussed issues of further cooperation and directions of interaction between the Ministry of Justice and UNDP on the development of the system of state-guaranteed legal aid, increasing legal culture of the population, access to legal information, as well as improving access to justice for vulnerable population, especially women and people with disabilities.
Chamberlain expressed readiness to continue assisting the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic in various areas of cooperation.
Chynbayeva thanked for the meeting,and expressed hope for continued fruitful cooperation between the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic and the United Nations Development Program.
