Kyrgyz-Kazakh Culture Center named after Abai opened in Bishkek

Bishkek, Dec. 11, 2020 / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz-Kazakh Culture Center named after Abai has been opened in Bishkek at the National Library.

The opening of the Center became possible thanks to the close cooperation of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Kyrgyzstan and the Association of Kazakhs of Kyrgyzstan with the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism and the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The press service of the National Library said that the task of the Center is to promote and disseminate the heritage of the Kazakh classic Abai Kunanbayev, as well as to strengthen intercultural ties and humanitarian cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

The opening ceremony of the Center was attended by Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan Nurzhigit Kadyrbekov, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Nuran Niyazaliev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Kyrgyz Republic Kairat Nurpeisov, Director of the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhyldyz Bakashova and others.

As part of the event, a Memorandum was also signed between the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Kyrgyz Republic on cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
