Bishkek, June 8, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, June 8 Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov and Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi talked over phone.
During the talks, the sides discussed topical issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as cooperation between the two countries in countering COVID-19, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.
At the same time, views were exchanged on the situation with regard to the movement of vehicles through the checkpoints, located at the Kyrgyz-Kazakh state border.
The sides, noting the importance of creation of favorable conditions for entrepreneurs of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, came to understanding of necessity to eliminate the barriers at the existing Ak-Tilek (Kyrgyzstan) - Karasu (Kazakhstan) and Chon-Kapka (Kyrgyzstan) - Aisha-Bibi (Kazakhstan) border crossing points.
In turn, the Kyrgyz side called on the Kazakh side to comply with current EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union) norms.
At the end of the phone talk, the two foreign ministers agreed to solve the issues in an operative order on a bilateral basis through specialized bodies of the two countries.
