Bishkek, Dec. 10, 2024. / Kabar /. Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic Ravshanbek Sabirov together with the World Bank mission - project manager Oraz Sultanov and co-manager Marina Novikova discussed the progress of the project "Strengthening Social Assistance Programs and the Labor Market".
The project is being implemented within the framework of the strategic partnership between the Kyrgyz Republic and the World Bank. Its main goal is to create a more inclusive, transparent and effective social protection system and improve employment opportunities for all segments of the population.
The meeting discussed the fundamental aspects of the project aimed at supporting low-income households and labor migrants, improving the targeting of social assistance, as well as supporting initiatives for professional development and employment of citizens.
In particular, the sides noted with satisfaction the progress of the project in accordance with the approved plan, as well as the effectiveness of its implementation. This allowed for significant cost savings, which the parties intend to use in agreement as additional funding. The joint product "Social Contract" also received a positive assessment. It allows the poor to find a new opportunity to get out of a difficult life situation.
During the meeting, Ravshanbek Sabirov proposed paying special attention to the digitalization of social services, which is the main tool for improving management efficiency. In conclusion, the minister expressed gratitude to the representatives for fruitful cooperation. "The project helps us implement modern approaches to the implementation of social policy and strengthen citizens' trust in the social support system. We are grateful for the expert and financial assistance of the World Bank, which plays a particularly significant role in solving the tasks of the ministry at present," he said.
Representatives of the World Bank mission highly appreciated the progress achieved within the project and expressed their readiness to continue cooperation to achieve sustainable results.
