Kyrgyz literary scholars lay flowers at Aitmatov monument in Tashkent

Tashkent, May 17, 2019. /Kabar/. The staff of the Institute of Language and Literature named after Chyngyz Aitmatov under the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic led by its Director, Academician Abdyldajan Akmataliyev laid flowers at the monument of great Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov on the same name street in Tashkent.

Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Uzbekistan, Ibrahim Dzhunusov, and employees of the Kyrgyz Embassy attended the event.

The monument was opened in December 2018 in accordance with the decision of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in honor of the 90th anniversary of the great writer and public figure Chyngyz Aitmatov.
