Kyrgyz MFA asks Kyrgyzstanis not to attempt to illegally enter U.S. through Mexico

Bishkek, Nov.26, 2019. /Kabar/. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic asks Kyrgyzstanis not to attempt to illegally enter the United States through Mexico, the ministry’s press service said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reminds of the tightening of the immigration regime at the U.S.-Mexico border due to the large flow of migrants, mainly from South America, as well as the increasing attempts of Kyrgyz citizens to enter the territory of the United States of America through Mexico.

Therefore, the Foreign Ministry urges citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic not to attempt to enter the U.S. through Mexico without the appropriate approval documents, i.e. entry visas to the U.S., as well as does not recommend to recourse various dubious organizations that offer their intermediary services.

These organizations and various intermediary firms do not bear any responsibility for the subsequent detention and arrest of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic by law enforcement agencies, both of the U.S. and Mexico for an attempt to cross the border illegally.

The decision to enter the United States is taken solely by the official U.S. authorities.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan warns that attempts of illegal entry by citizens are a violation of the laws of a foreign country, and therefore, such actions may result in indefinite detention in the United States or Mexico.
