Bishkek, Feb. 11, 2022 . / Kabar / . Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan discussed cooperation issues with members of the US Chamber of Commerce.
The press service of the ministry reported that the meeting held on Wednesday was also attended by representatives of the U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The sides discussed opportunities for domestic companies to enter the U.S. market, including the advantages of GSP provided by the American legislation; the use of convenient transportation and logistics routes and modern mechanisms to promote exports of domestic export-oriented products through modern, effective e-commerce tools such as the electronic platform Amazon, etc.; involving the potential of such agents of economic diplomacy as the Institute of Honorary Consuls, successful representatives of the United States and other countries.
"The parties also tentatively agreed to consider the possibility of organizing and holding business forums in the Kyrgyz Republic and the United States, special industry events like the 2nd IT EXPO International Exhibition and the participation of Kyrgyz companies in the International Franchise Exhibition, development of a guide for domestic exporters to enter the US market, and organization of bilateral cooperation between the US Chamber of Commerce in the Kyrgyz Republic with the American-Kyrgyz Business Council, which operates in the US," the report said.
At the end of the meeting, the sides indicated their commitment to further interaction and, emphasizing the important role, agreed to make joint efforts on the practical implementation of the issues raised.
