Kyrgyz Militia about activity of newly created patrol service

Bishkek, Dec.16, 2019. /Kabar/. The militia told about the activity of the Patrol Service.

In order to implement President Sooronbay Jeenbekov's decree, the Kyrgyz Interior Ministry has developed a plan for 2019-2020 as part of a pilot project to create a Police Patrol Service Department in Bishkek, Head of the Bishkek City Internal Affairs Department Kanat Dzhumagaziyev said at the press conference at Kabar News Agency.

Thus, the relevant regulatory legal acts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan were developed and approved, and appropriate training and methodological plans were prepared for training candidates to be accepted to the Police Patrol Service Department.

The opening ceremony of the Police Patrol Service Department was held on Oct. 31, 2019 at the Bishkek City Internal Affairs Department with the participation of President Sooronbay Jeenbekov.

At the first stage, the staff of the Police Patrol Service Department fully serves the territory of the Pervomaisky district and partially the territory of the Sverdlov district of Bishkek.

The staffing level of the new service is not fully staffed.

The creation of the Patrol Police is a strategic direction to improve the overall work of the police. After Bishkek, similar service is planned to be created in Osh and other cities in the country.

The new Patrol Police combines the functions of the Directorate of Road Safety and the old Patrol and Post Service, and will be more focused on policing. Its functions still include control over traffic safety on the roads.
