Bishkek, Jan. 26, 2024 /Kabar/. Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Daniar Amangeldiev met on Thursday in Kabul with acting Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of Afghanistan Abdul Salam Hanafi.
The press service of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that the main topics of discussion concerned socio-economic issues, as well as the situation of the Kyrgyz of the Greater and Lesser Pamirs.
Aspects of improving the well-being of the region were discussed, including initiatives taken by the Afghan side. The acting deputy prime minister of Afghanistan highlighted efforts to improve life in the Pamir region, including the installation of a cell tower that promotes connectivity and infrastructure development in remote areas.
Particular attention was paid to measures to improve the healthcare sector in the region. The parties discussed additional steps to ensure access to quality medical services and improve the health of the local population.
The minister of economy of Kyrgyzstan positively noted the initiatives taken by the Afghan side in solving the socio-economic challenges facing the region.
Concluding the meeting, the parties expressed the expectation of continuing constructive dialogue on key issues designed to help improve the lives of the local population in both countries.
