Kyrgyz minister of natural resources take part in meeting with OSCE secretary general

Bishkek, March 7, 2024. /Kabar/. Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic Melis Turgunbaev took part in the meeting of the Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) with the ministers of environmental protection of Central Asian countries in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan).

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the parties discussed pressing issues of environmental protection, environmental safety in the region, water and agricultural issues, as well as the transition to a green economy.

In addition, the participants discussed the issues of climate change and its consequences, the need to develop coordinated measures to adapt to climate change, reducing the risks of natural disasters, etc.
