Kyrgyz Ministry of Energy and Korean Starkoff Co. Ltd. sign road map

Bishkek, May 11, 2024. /Kabar/. The Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Korean company Starkoff Co. Ltd. signed a roadmap for the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed earlier.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Minister Taalaibek Ibraev visited Seoul (South Korea) from May 7 to 11 at the invitation of Minister of Environment Wa Jin Han and Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Ahn Duk-geun.

The main purpose of the visit is to attract investment in the energy sector of the Kyrgyz Republic and meet with representatives of the Korean business environment.

First, a roadmap for the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding was signed. The main purpose of the signed document is to exchange experience in the use of smart meters, charging stations for electric vehicles and new production technologies of Starkoff Co. Ltd.

Afterwards, a meeting was held with Minister of Environmental Protection of South Korea, Wa Jin Han, during which the parties discussed the following issues:

- improving the ecology of cities in Kyrgyzstan;

- construction of waste processing plants, production of electricity and gas from them;

- investments in hydropower and renewable energy sources;

- allocation of grant funds for the implementation of projects;

- invitation to the investment forum.
