In pursuance of Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIF) of the Kyrgyz Republic (KR) from Feb. 5, 2018, the Department for Development of the State Language of the General Staff of the MIF of the KR held a round table on The development of the state language in the security forces, the press service of the MIF of the KR reported.
The event is dedicated to the International Mother Language Day, which is celebrated on Feb.21 annually.
The International Mother Language Day, proclaimed by the UNESCO General Conference on Nov.17, 1999 has been celebrated since 2000 on Feb. 21 each year with the aim of promoting linguistic and cultural diversity.
Head of the Main Headquarters of the MIF of the KR, Colonel of Police, Abdish Kobaev, Deputy Chairman of the National Commission on the State Language, Akim uulu Meder and Chairman of the Terminological Commission under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, Syrtbay Musayev participated in the round table that was held today on Feb. 15.
During the meeting, the leadership of the Main Headquarters of the MIF of the KR stressed that all necessary measures are taken in the Internal Affairs Agencies for the development of the state language and for its full use. Based on the order of the MIF of the KR for 2018, a number of special measures are planned for the development of the state language in the Agencies of the Internal Affairs. The participants of the round table shared their views and made their suggestions on strengthening the state language.
