Bishkek, July 5, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz MP Iskender Matraimov will head a group of observers from the IPA CIS in the parliamentary elections in Moldova. The corresponding order was signed by Valentina Matvienko, Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
Observers from the Interparliamentary Assembly conducted long-term monitoring of the elections. On the voting day, more than 100 observers representing the IPA CIS will work both in the republic itself and at foreign polling stations in other countries.
A group from the IPA will monitor the elections as part of the Observer Mission from the Commonwealth of Independent States, headed by Dmitry Kobitsky, Secretary General of the Council of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly. His candidacy was agreed upon at a meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiaries of the Commonwealth Member States under the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth.
Parliamentary elections in Moldova are scheduled for July 11, 2021. They will be attended by 20 political parties, two blocs and one independent candidate.
